Dorset Farms has grown from an agricultural base starting with the introduction of a farm shop operation some 25 years ago. Since then it has transformed into the food production and distribution business it is today.
It is our commitment to providing the highest quality, hand produced, hams and bacon that has made us so successful, with such a broad range of customers throughout the UK and abroad.
Finest locally sourced ingredients
At Dorset Farms, we know that the key to producing the best flavoured hams and bacon is to use the best possible ingredients. That is why the pork we use is from free range, happy pigs sourced from local farms. Other ingredients are also of the highest quality – pure sea salt and fine, high fruit content marmalade, for instance.
Traditional methods
Modern methods of ham production often use chemicals and systems to enhance the weight and appearance of the product. Our award winning hams are made using time-honoured methods and are individually cured by hand without extra water or additional additives.
Soil Association Certified
Our range of organic hams and bacon meet the highest standards of sustainability and quality and we are proud to be fully certified by the Soil Association.
Quality over Quantity
We make our hams and bacon by hand, the old-fashioned way. We care about flavour and texture rather than speed and yield, so we are generous in the time that we give our hams to cure. We use pioneering marinades and flavours so you can be sure our meats are succulent and tasty.
